58 S C T / N O V E M B E R 2 0 1 8 • Kenneth Stern, a veteran of 31 years in retail real estate, has joined CBRE to help enhance the company's representation of retail landlords in transactions involving restaurants. Stern, who is based in Cleveland, is a first vice president working nationally with retail center owners seeking to place restaurants and bars around their shopping centers. Many U.S. centers are installing food-and-beverage uses in at least 25 percent of their square footage to help counter the growth of e-commerce, notes Stern. Before taking this post, Stern was a senior vice president of peripheral development at DDR Corp. • Jaime Chamberlin has joined the West Palm Beach, Fla., office of NAI Merin Hunter Codman as a marketing analyst. She graduated from Florida State University in May with a Bachelor of Science degree in marketing. • Woodland Hills, Calif.– based NewMark Merrill Cos. hiredKassandra Bishopas vice president of marketing and technology. Bishop is leading the company's corporate and property-marketing and technology efforts. Her responsibilities involve overseeing strategy, implementation, budget, measurement, public relations and community involvement. Bishop brings 13 years of marketing experience, most recently as director of marketing and business development at Simon, where she led the marketing at several properties in Texas and California. • Northbrook, Ill.–based Pine Tree promotedConor Bossyto senior vice president of acquisitions. Bossy is responsible for sourcing and negotiating potential acquisitions for the Pine Tree retail portfolio, which currently exceeds $700 million. • Newmark Knight Frank hiredDrew Robinsonas a senior vice president within its valuation and advisory team in the Atlanta area. A member of the retail and regional malls specialty practice group, Robinson has 15 years of experience in valuing different types of commercial real estate, including regional shopping malls and lifestyle retail centers. Robinson was a vice president at CBRE for 14 years, with responsibility forevaluating commercial properties. • The Shopping Center Group promoted partnerAlex Munozto managing director. Most recently leasing director for the firm's Carolinas & Virginia divisions, Munoz now also oversees the Florida and Georgia divisions. Munoz will oversee leasing activities in eight offices throughout Florida, Georgia, North Carolina and South Carolina. As managing director, Munoz, who joined the firm in 2003, assumes responsibility for the strategy and implementation of the landlord- services growth plan throughout his region. Meanwhile, Jeffrey Pandolfo, the firm's director of leasing for the Northeast division, will additionally take on the oversight of leasing for the Virginia division. • Charlotte, N.C.–based MAB American Management appointedJohn Argoas president of development. Argo, a member of the MAB American team since 2013, oversees the development of U.S. projects, including 750,000 square feet of retail properties with a cumulative value in excess of $250 million. Before joining MAB American, Argo was vice president of retail development at Aronov Realty Management, where he worked for nearly 30 years.
