The candy purveyor, founded in 1921, is looking at lifestyle and strip centers as it seeks to build up its 240-store portfolio. The chain also opened a first New York City shop this year in the Green- wich Village neighborhood, and other California shops have already opened or relocated earlier this year, in Escon- dido, Pleasant Hill and Windsor.
